VRAI spoke with Gwen Madiba, an award-winning TV host and entrepreneur dedicated to empowering women and driving positive social change through her foundation, Equal Chance, about what she dares to do in 2025:

“This year in 2025, I want to dare to operate at a higher, deeper, and vrai level of permission for myself. I want to dare to accomplish things that I haven’t been able to accomplish thus far. Because I know that I’m capable. I want to dare to be bolder. And as importantly, I want to dare to take care of myself. Because self-care matters. Rest matters and is necessary.” - Gwen Madiba

With a focus on creating opportunities for underserved communities, Gwen’s work extends across Canada and globally. In 2022, she became the first UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Gabon. Her significant contributions have earned her numerous prestigious awards, including the Order of Ottawa and the L'Oréal Paris Women of Worth Award. Gwen’s inspiring efforts continue to break barriers and leave a lasting impact on individuals and communities worldwide. With these many accomplishments and accolades, she challenges other women to join her in her daring goals for the year.
