Vintage Oval engagement rings
This diamond shape not only adds classic elegance to a vintage-inspired ring’s overall look, but also maximizes carat weight. The elongated form of an Oval-shaped diamond makes it appear larger on the finger and gives your engagement ring the look and feel of a beloved family heirloom.

Vintage Emerald cut engagement rings
Emerald-shaped diamonds are highly sought after for their linear elegance and intriguing step-cut facets. This clean, elongated shape is actually one of the world’s oldest diamond shapes, giving your ring true vintage authenticity.

Vintage Marquise engagement rings
Marquise-shaped diamonds are quintessentially vintage-inspired. Their unique navette shape is often associated with rings from the Victorian and Edwardian era. Choosing a Marquise-shaped diamond will give your ring a classic heirloom look and feel.

A vintage or vintage-inspired ring is one with an antique-influenced style. These rings might be designed similarly to Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Deco rings that feature floral motifs, halo or bezel settings, or intricate filigree.

VRAI vintage-inspired engagement rings are available in sizes 3 through 11 and can be worn by women, men, or gender noncomforming individuals within that size range. For a vintage-inspired setting in a larger ring size, submit your inquiry for a custom-designed engagement ring.

For those looking for alternative vintage-inspired ring styles, there are many options to choose from such as the Brushed Baguette band, Tetrad Rings, and Signet Rings.

Oval cut vintage inspired engagement rings FAQs

A vintage-inspired ring is a ring designed in a vintage-era style. Many vintage-inspired rings are crafted to look similar to those made during the Art Deco era in the 1920s — Halo or Bezel settings, and tapered baguette side stones are all reminiscent of this era.

Your choice of metal or color is entirely up to you. While solid yellow and rose gold are often hues associated with classic vintage styles, platinum or white gold settings are wonderful choices as well.

Many already have a gold preference before they purchase their engagement ring. If your jewelry collection already consists of yellow gold, it would be best to buy an 18k solid [yellow gold engagement ring to match since you will likely wear it every day.

If your fine jewelry collection consists of a mix of white and yellow gold, a 14k solid rose gold ring might be best as it can pair well with either color. Ultimately, the decision should be made on the color that you know you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Art Deco engagement rings are inspired by a popular vintage style from the 1920s and 1930s.

Halo engagement rings are quintessential Art Deco style. The circle of diamonds that perfectly surrounds the center stone creates the kind of geometrical pattern that became so popular in this era. The same is true of Three Stone engagement ring settings.

Although nearly any combination of center and side stones would achieve a vintage look, fancy diamond shapes like Pear, Marquise, and Asscher at the center are particularly Art Deco-inspired. The domed elegance of the Curator engagement ring or the geometrical lines of the Signature V or Signature Bezel make them ideal Art Deco rings, as well.

A vintage engagement ring is technically anything at least 20 years old, while an antique ring would refer to a design over 100 years old. But often, when it comes to engagement rings, “vintage” and “vintage-inspired” are used interchangeably and refer to a ring’s style rather than its actual age.

A simple weekly cleaning routine involves soaking your ring in a small bowl filled with warm water and a few drops of liquid dishwashing soap. After thirty to forty five minutes, remove the ring and brush it gently with a soft-bristle toothbrush, then rinse and pat dry with a soft towel.

There are no right and wrong options for pairing a wedding band with a vintage or vintage-inspired engagement ring other than making sure the two can be worn together comfortably, if so desired. Traditionally, curved bands, unique or fancy diamond shapes, or pavé and halo details are considered best for a vintage-inspired look, but each couple should choose the pairing that reflects their personal style.
