How to buy a Hiden Halo engagement ring

A Hidden Halo engagement ring is a modern update of the classic Halo setting. Small diamonds circle around a solitaire diamond, but for the Hidden Halo, these diamonds are placed inside an elevated prong setting. The halo they form is best seen from the side, instead of looking straight down, which is what gives this ring its “hidden” name.

Yes, Hidden Halo rings can make a diamond look bigger. But this is due to the high 4-prong setting that holds both the solitaire diamond and halo of hidden diamonds in place. Because it lifts the diamond slightly higher up off the finger, it gives the illusion that the diamond is bigger.

All-diamond bands, such as the Eternity, Infinity, and Devotion bands would pair well with this style as their endless ring of diamonds mirrors the look of the hidden halo setting.

Both Halo and Hidden Halo engagement rings are Solitaire engagement rings. They both feature a single diamond. So a “halo” does not need to be added — VRAI already offers a Halo and Hidden Halo collection that highlights each of our ten shapes.

A simple weekly cleaning routine involves soaking your ring in a small bowl filled with warm water and a few drops of liquid dishwashing soap. After thirty to forty five minutes, remove the ring and brush it gently with a soft-bristle toothbrush, then rinse and pat dry with a soft towel. Because the hidden halo is an extra surface that can attract dirt, be sure to thoroughly clean your diamond ring by brushing gently around the prongs and underneath the pavé set diamonds.

The hidden halo of diamonds will make the overall look of your engagement ring appear to shine brighter. But the halo does not affect the diamond’s shine directly. Because the halo is not visible when looking directly down at the diamond, it does not enhance its brilliance or scintillation.

Engagement rings and wedding rings should be cleaned once a week to keep them shining bright and germ-free.
