Sade to Cher, Catherine Deneuve to Jackie Kennedy–regardless of their individual style, there’s one thing they had in common; they all wore a classic hoop earring, taking a universal style and making it distinctly their own. From offbeat, and over the top to classic and understated, the hoop earring has solidified itself as a fashion staple throughout the years. For such a simple piece, the variations are endless, which is why we’ve been working on creating our perfect hoop for months. After countless revisions, pressing customer requests, and a collection of samples later, we’re happy to announce that we’ve created our first ever seamless hoop.
Helen, our product designer, laid out the four key points that our hoops were designed around:
1. Levity: Our Lightweight Hoops are so light, you don’t even feel them–they’re just an extension of you.
2. Inclusivity: The variety of sizes means that they are for anyone and everyone, regardless of style or gender.
3. Subtle Edge: There is just something about people who wear hoops. We can’t quite put our finger on it, but they often possess a subtle air to them.
4. Seamlessness: These hoops create a full circle–no clasp–so there are no distractions, nor anything left to take away.
We were inspired by the versatility and juxtaposition of hoops–the simple shape, the daring reputation they once had, the badass reputation they currently possess, all the while being able to look so classic, effortless, and timeless. Our hoops come in three sizes–small, medium, and large, making them accessible to many different styles. They are made of hollow, solid gold wire, so they’re flexible, but they won’t pull on your ears, nor will they won’t tarnish or fade. We know their arrival has been long awaited, so we hope you enjoy.
